When does overtime kick in?⌄
Under the US FLSA, overtime is required after 40 hours in a workweek at 1.5× the regular rate. Some states (e.g. California) require daily overtime after 8 hours.
Are breaks counted as hours worked?⌄
Short breaks (5–20 minutes) generally are. Bona-fide meal breaks ≥ 30 minutes typically are not. Subtract unpaid breaks in the break column.
